COURSE OVERVIEW:

The US Department of Labor (DOL) lists falls as one of the leading causes of traumatic occupational death, accounting for over 8% of all occupational fatalities from trauma.

 

Our OSHA Fall Protection Certificate Course for the general and Construction Industry provides you with the tools to identify fall hazards and decide how to best protect workers by reducing or eliminating fall hazards in the construction industry.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

  • Understand when and how to use fall protection training required by OSHA.

  • Identify struct-by hazards associated with falling objects.

  • Understand OSHA training requirements and PPE associated with fall protection.

  • Understanding proper procedures and how to inspect equipment.

  • Identify and using guardrails, personal fall arrest and safety monitoring systems.

  • Understand the requirements for rescuing procedures of falling victims.

  • How to deal with unprotected, leading sides and edges.

  • Understand construction hazards that require a fall protection system

  • Be able to identify the different types of fall protection systems and their requirements

  • Review the training requirements and common hazards associated with fall protection

 

COURSE LANGUAGE:

Courses are offered in both English and Spanish.

 

COURSE PRE-REQUISITE:
N/A

 

COMPLETION:
Upon completion of Fall Safety Training, students will be able to identify hazards associated with workplace slips, trips and falls. Students will receive class room demonstrations and receive Fall Safety Guide and are required to pass a test. Upon successfully completing this course students will receive a certificate of completion and wallet card.
