Operator Safety Training & Trainer Programs

COURSE OVERVIEW:

Our hands-on operator safety training course satisfies the OSHA/ANSI/SIA/CSA training requirements for scissor lift and boom lift training and Aerial Work Platform Operators for both initial and refresher training requirements.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

  • Ability To Operate A Forklift Safely

  • Required Training Requirements

  • Types Of Lift Trucks and Fundamentals

  • Awareness In The Workplace

  • Identify hazards associated with the operation of an aerial work platform

  • Identify key points from OSHA and ANSI/SIA standards (ANSI/SIA A92.5/Boom-Supported Elevating Work Platforms and A92.6/Self-Propelled Elevating Work Platforms)

  • Identify key features/characteristics of and manufacturer precautions for the specific aerial work platform (Boom Lift and Scissor Lift) used for the work task

  • Perform a pre-operation safety inspection (Walk-Around, Function Check, and Work Site)

  • Identify safe practices and complete a hands-on training exercise

COURSE PRE-REQUISITE:
N/A

 

COMPLETION:
Upon completion of the written exam, the students will then be given a “driving evaluation” that tests their skills in a practical application. They will maneuver through many obstacles, both forward and reverse.​ Each operator who successfully completes the class and passes the required driving test will receive a "Operator's Permit Card" that is valid for 3 years from completion date Aerial Operators Handbook.

Train The Trainer Courses

Our forklift “Train The Trainer” course is a one-day comprehensive course in which all participants will be educated on establishing and in-house forklift operator training program. This course concentrates on the required OSHA training regulations, new standards and how they affect your company. Once certified the participants will have the tools and knowledge to return to work and establish an in-house training program tailored to your company’s operation and equipment types while meeting OSHA requirements.

Course Content: Upon completion of the course each student will take home and Instructor’s Training and Reference Manual, Lesson Plan and Training Documentation requirements, Federal & Cal OSHA Standards, ANSI & NFPA Standards. Training Video Kit with student material & certificates, Battery and Gas / LPG Safety Require-ments, Pre-shift operator inspection forms, Hands-on driving course set-up and evaluation information, Written Test with Answer Form and Certificates of Completion.

Course Length: The anticipated length of this course varies between 6-8 hours.
